Do I Qualify for a Car Through VFC?

Website Location

Are you on the road to self-sufficiency but struggle with transportation? Are you ready to gain access to better employment opportunities and want to enjoy personal independence? Vehicles For Change can help you get there, literally. Vehicles For Change is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals who want to work to help themselves by providing affordable cars and a chance for an improved life. In a recent study, 73% of our car donation recipients obtained better jobs/promotions and have increased their income by an average of $4,800.

To qualify for a car through VFC, all individuals must first meet the following criteria:
  • You must have a job or verifiable job offer.
  • You must be insurable. No DWIs or DUIs on your driving record.
  • You must not have any other vehicle in the household.
  • You must be drug free and no extensive criminal background.
  • Able to pay for your insurance and fees for taxes, tags and title.
  • Willing to take a 12-month loan to pay for your car. Car fees range from $600 to $700 per car and the monthly payment is $65 to $80 per month. Each recipient is guaranteed a loan without regard to credit history.

Each month Vehicles for Change receives 120 – 170 donated cars. Of these 40 - 50 are in such condition that they are awarded to worthy families. If You Are Needing A Car, You Might Want To Try This!

If you are needing a car, you need to sign up for this site.  Write a profile about why you need a car, and then get people to vote for you.  If you aren't needing a car, then visit this link http://www.freecharitycars.org/petskers/ anyway and give me a vote.  I am trying to get a Van to transport my Dad around in.  Click on the link below if you would like to sign up and start getting votes for a car.

Join me at Free Charity Cars!Click HERE For Website to sign up

Step 1 - Create Your Profile

Creating your profile is fun, fast and free. Even if you don't need a Free Charity Car you can create a profile to receive gifts, automotive related help, or you can transfer your votes to a deserving friend. This is your opportunity to tell the world your story! Explain why you are the most deserving candidate and why everyone should vote for you. You can make us laugh…or you can make us cry. Either way, don't hold anything back…let it all hang out!

Step 2 - Generate Votes & Create Good Karma

Generating votes is crucial to receiving a Free Charity Car. By generating votes and increasing your karma level, your profile attains a higher page rank, thus moving you up the list to receive gifts, automotive related help, or even a Free Charity Car. The process of generating votes "pays it forward" by spreading the word and increasing the popularity of our website which leads to additional vehicle donations that can be awarded to our neighbors, and maybe…even to you. The more you help others…the more you help yourself. Remember, we're all in this together…we are all one

Step 3 - Apply For A Free Charity Car

After a modest level of votes is attained you will be eligible to receive gifts, automotive related help, or even a Free Charity Car. Keep generating votes as you will want to continue improving your profile's page rank, help others, and be at the forefront to be reviewed and ultimately selected to receive a Free Charity Car when one becomes available in your area.

Ready to give up

About Ready to give up

Hi,  I am completely ready to give up... Nomatter what I do or how I try to make things better, something else goes wrong. I hate my job yet I will NOT quit that as I am a single mother of a disabled 7 yr old boy. My poor baby has been through so much...

I am in need of a car so desperatley, as I need to get to work, my sons  Drs, Therapy etc.... I have put every dollar I have in my car and yet it still breaks down the very next day, problem after problem. I just put a new break system in my car front and back, blead them the whole nine, and quess what I have breaks one day and they are gone again... Thats just one problem... I cry all the time, I just cant seem to get ahead.. I try so hard... I have to leave work so much because I am constanly at my sons school.. I am on the verge of being fired, therefore my check barely covers the rent and nothing else, and I can not get assistance or SSI for my son because the hrs I am supposed to work i fall 50.00 over the max allowed. Its a family of 2 therefore we should be able to make it they say.. A family of 2 is harder as you are the only one working, not your child... I just dont get it.. I NEED HELP AND IM READY TO LOSE IT....

About alisadianne

I am disabled. I've survived abuse, but it left me financially dire. I have needed a car for a long time, but cannot afford one. I want to work a part time job and wish to afford more than just my rent. I have ideas about running my own business.I, wonderfully have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren I would like to also visit and sometimes sit for. I am able to drive, despite my disabilities, thankfully. I was thinking that since I enjoy photography, I would like to have a business (i.e. weddings and childrens events) in that feild, which of course would require transportaion.
I have a schizophrenic son, who also needs my care and to be transported to medical, counseling, as well as trips to see the ocean where he writes and plays his gituar, while I take photos. My daughter is 21 and carrying her 2nd baby, due in august, the baby's father left and she is without transportation also. I want to help her until she can get on her feet. I have a doctor of 10+ years who is an hour and a half away, whom has helped me survive so much. The problem: Mainecare will not pay for the ride through the various transportation services due to cutbacks. I have missed appointments (I have to go monthly), because of this. Most everyone I know works during the hours I need to be there. Even if I get a ride, most people prefer not to take my son along. He loves the ride..it's beautiful, in the mountains of Bethel, Maine. We can stop and take photos or for a picnic on the way by the waterfalls. Thus, all of this being a big part of my life, and the life of others,I believe that it is quite important for me to have a car.

Is there anyone out ther who could help me? Do you have a car not being used that you no longer need? I am in desperate need of a car and wish to find one immediately! Thank-you  so much for reading my request, Alisa

we are in so much debt and as house prices have fallen we cannot afford to move.i feel thi is effecting my childrens lives i have now got three children and i no i shouldbe happy but the truth is im not...i cannot sleep at night with all this debt..and i just carnt see away out.
i tryed to get myself a job to earn more money.i got offerd my dream job at birmingham airport which i was surposed to start on monday the 16th and this made me feel so much happier but i realised i could not get a car on finance because of missed payments and poor credit and i could not afford to buy one and non of my famly want to or can  help me so i have had to call them and tell them i can not start the job...i feel life is so unfair i really want to work and earn money to buy my children clothes and food etc that they need  but i carnt as i do not hve a car or the money..
